solid steel bar the Pergola is elegant yet extremely strong.
The most popular style of pergola comprises a series of hoops with
one row of linking bars along the centre top, and one row of bars down
each side. The same principal can be used as a free standing structure
or gazebo and to provide a covered walkaway on a terrace (see examples
below).
All structures are available in a choice of finishes.
Side hoops can be added to provide access to paths or to form a “T” or
cross shaped pergola.
The average pergola is 1.83m-2.4m (6-8ft) wide, and 2.4m high at the
centre. Hoops are usually spaced up to a maximum of 2m (6’6”)
apart.
Steel eyelets are welded over the hoops at approx. 300mm (12”)
intervals, galvanised wire is then threaded providing support for growing
plants.
